One of Exomission’s core competences is their knowledge of the applicable international and national legal requirements for reducing emissions from systems and components. The fact that these are changed constantly and the fail-proof homologation/certification mean that market participants face increasingly complex tasks. Exomission Managing Directors   Stefan Fischer and Uwe Israel together have over 30 years of experience in the development and application of exhaust gas aftertreatment systems and type approval at the national and international levels.

Exomission primarily provides its customers with services and consultation in the emission reduction and certification fields. This extends far beyond classic technology consulting, for example, for companies from outside of Germany that want to obtain the corresponding market approvals for Germany or the EU. Depending on the requirements profile, external experts can also be incorporated, such as from approval-relevant institutions or research institutes.

In this way, Exomission makes the optimum incorporation of legal requirements possible at the customer as early as the development stage. This procedure results in significant cost savings and planning security. When dealing with technology for the reduction of exhaust gases, it is also possible to produce and deliver the individual components and systems.

In future, there will be a huge need for action in retrofitting mobile machines (construction machinery, railway vehicles, inland waterway vessels) in particular, because the UN ECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) was commissioned by the EU Commission to develop a technical regulation for the retrofitting of mobile machines with systems to reduce soot and nitrogen oxide (NOx) that is to apply virtually worldwide. Thanks to long-term contacts between the Managing Directors and appropriate associations and institutes, Exomission is in a position to respond in good time to this complex legislation, which extends far into the future. Designing the extensive certifications to be as comprehensive as possible and thereby cost-efficient through the corresponding professional selection of the respective technologies and what are known as type delimitation features is a particular challenge.
